This place was SOOO FIRE! I’ve been craving Yaki for about a month now (been on an elimination diet) and it did not disappoint. Got the salmon box and just nuggets, both heavenly. Salmon was the favorite. The smokey , almost brisket- like flavor of the salmon was phenomenal. Perfect amount of saltiness. The coleslaw was the second star of the show. I feel transported to food heaven. Catch me on cloud nine! Soo thrilled everything was dairy and gluten free! Highly recommend! Will be back to try the brisket box tomorrow! Amen.

Today, we tried Yaki! It is a locally owned Asian inspired restaurant that serves delicious freshly made food. We tried the Combo box and Nug Box. Both were wonderful! The food is great, economical and Gluten Free!!!! For those of us who have to eat a GF diet, this is a trifecta we rarely see. Definitely check out Yaki! You will be glad you did!

Cool concept. The food was okay. We got the nugs and fries and the brisket box. Nothing blew me away, but it hit the spot and they were generous with the fries. I get that this is for casual roadside pickup but the guy taking our order was a bit meh. I asked one question and it felt like we were bothering him. This was back on March 14th and I forgot to post, but good ol' Google reminded me today. Best part was digging out my semi flat basketball from the trunk and shooting some hoops in the back while we waited for the food. Made the wait fun and the other guy who brought us the food was nice.

Heard this place had great reviews from a foodie. Was in town and tried it as take out. Ordered the combo of chicken and veggies. Absolutely amazing! The smokiness of the chicken (being Texas, I think all their meats are smoked!), the right balance of the red cabbage slaw, veggies (broccoli and mushrooms) over a bed of rice was delicious. Quantity of food amazed me as it was tightly packed into a takeout box. The place is brightly painted and interesting to look at while you wait (but not a long wait). It looks like it’s a converted Sonic drive-in. There are picnic tables to eat on outside if you want to eat there.

I LOVED the food here at YAKI Texas Teriyaki! I found this little hole in the wall place on my Find My Gluten Free app. All food is gluten free, dairy free, and nut free. The menu is simple and you order a protein, rice, and slaw and it comes in a take out box. This place was an old Sonic Drive In, so there isn’t indoor dining, only picnic tables in a little area in front of the restaurant. There were 3 different meals ordered when we went, and all were fresh and delicious tasting! The waffle fries were amazing as well. I just wish this little place was in my town, I’d eat here all the time!
